Workshop & Fundraiser

Friday, 16 February 2024 | 6:30–9:00 PM

Craft a Palestine flag patch from reclaimed fabric in a creative act of solidarity and support for urgent humanitarian aid.

Hosted at The Tara Building, DIY Patches for Palestine is a hands-on creative workshop combining craft, community, and solidarity.

Learn how to make a Palestine flag patch using old clothing and recycled fabric, with stencils, fabric paint, and sewing guidance provided. You will leave with a patch to proudly sew onto your jacket, bag, or fabric, carrying a visible message of resistance and remembrance.

Bring along red, green, white, or black fabric scraps if you would like to contribute. Two back-to-back workshops run from 6:30–7:30 PM and 8:00–9:00 PM so more people can take part.

This is more than a craft class. It is a safe space for reflection, discussion, and connection. Together, we will talk about what is happening in Palestine, share ideas on how to help end the ongoing genocide, and stand with those affected.

With 100% of ticket sales donated to Islamic Relief, the workshop is both a creative outlet and a vital fundraiser, channelling solidarity into tangible aid. Refreshments, including wine and non-alcoholic options, are available throughout the evening.
